Following our recent completion of stores for White Stuff in Birmingham and Bournemouth Archer Electrical were selected for the full Electrical Design & Build of White Stuff’s new, most prestigious, openings in the heart of Nottingham. Once completed at the end of November 2010 in time for pre-Christmas trading the end result was stunning. Spanned over two floors the store included numerous designs of retail luminaires including chandeliers, recessed gimbal and track spotlights, pendants, Led edge strip lighting, etc. Each of the Ladies Changing Rooms where individually period themed and complete with under floor heating, Traditional themed sweet counters, an old Red Telephone Box where you can order online, Children’s Rides and even a Cinema were incorporated to create a new dimension to the retail experience.

The company White Stuff was founded by Sean Thomas and George Treves, as a venture to sell ‘Boys from the White Stuff’ sweatshirts in bars around the French Alpine ski resort town of Val d'Isère in 1985. The founders, keen fans of skiing initially focused on outdoor garments, including skiwear and fleeces, for men. Over the following 15 years the brand grew, introducing women’s wear, home shopping, a wholesale business. White Stuff now has 60 shops over 100 wholesale accounts, and operates a sales website and catalogue business.
