The Principle Contractor Brydol Shopfitting Interior Contracts appointed Archer Electrical to undertake the electrical works required for the refit of this Schuh Store in Meadowhall following us working successfully together on Jones the Bootmaker projects.

This new look 1,860 sq. ft. refurbishment for Schuh in Meadowhall was undertaken to create a lighting scheme which could play a major part in providing Schuh’s merchandising strategies. The lighting taking the form spotlights mounted within a suspended white raft which takes the customers gaze to the back of the shop, cumulating in a row of anodised metal industrial looking matt silver spots, attached to a Gantry, which brighten the store’s deepest reaches. Unitary lighting consists of transparent internally illuminated cages that have been stacked Lego style on top of and adjacent to each other to create the display. It would be hard to leave this store, however, without noting the pendant lights that run down the middle of the shop, providing a contrast of space-age retro and look like the kind of thing you might find in, perhaps, a Conran restaurant or bar, but they work very well here too.

All parties were very satisfied with our quality, service and performance during this re-fit and we will be undertaking the next new Schuh store in Manchester in the New Year.
