Holland and Barrett was the first store to be completed for the new Bluewater Shopping Centre

Archer electrical provided the design and installation for the electrical system working with Hacel lighting to develop a bespoke energy efficient lighting solution to the perimeter sales shopfitting system. This lighting consisted of continuous 55watt pll lamps c/w high frequency control gear, mounted to high quality lighting reflectors, and contained within a purpose made housing which fitted to the underside of the unitary, ensuring illumination was provided to all products at whatever shelf level.

This bespoke lighting system was developed and installed into a trial section of Holland & Barrett’s shopfitting system at the Principle Contractors factory in Nottingham. The client was able to view the designed lighting proposals and approve prior to its production for the whole perimeter merchandising system for their Bluewater location.

We successfully dealt with all the teething problems experienced as the first store to be electrically commissioned for a new Shopping Centre helping to deliver Holland & Barrett as the 1st of 350 retail outlets within the most innovative and exciting shopping and leisure destination in Europe today.
